About School

Beershiva School in Ranikhet was established in 1994 on the 1st of April in the heart of the city with only 64 children. It is a co-educational English Medium school founded by late Shri. and Smt. N.N.D. Bhatt. The school owes its origin, existence & development to the untiring efforts of late Mr. N.N.D. Bhatt. He was a most dedicated person who inspired countless men and women. May God bless the great work he had started.

Beershiva School offers courses in Commerce and Science. It prepares students for All India Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. The School has highly qualified teaching staff, well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. School offers facilities for variety of games, sports and co-curricular activities. Physical Education is a part of weekly routine and in addition to the regular sports, team games for school teams and inter house competitions are held. The main sports for the boys are Cricket, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Athletics etc. and for girls Hockey, Athletics and Kho-Kho, taekwondo, volley ball etc. School has well equipped computer laboratory and library. The Library is well stocked with books catering to varied tastes and age groups. The library subscribes to Hindi and English newspapers, journals and magazines and keeps the students well informed of the latest developments in the world. Each year over Rs. Ten thousand is spent on adding new volumes to the library. The School aims to develop, in all students, the habit of good and careful reading.

Individual skill and talent is fostered in students through a large variety of activities apart from academics which is supervised by staff members. Inter house competitions are held for debates, elocution, quiz and variety entertainment among children. Opportunity for picnics, camps and treks in surrounding areas are highlights of each year.
To encourage creative expression, children are given an opportunity to contribute articles and sketches in the school magazine.
